MISSIONS 4 JESUS SUPPORTS KATOLA SCHOOL

TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE-AMEN

Imagine having 850-900 school kids in one school and only seven teachers. These children belong to twenty-three different villages and some walk as far as seven miles each way to attend school. Seems impossible to us. This is the situation at Katola School in Lumbadzi Africa.

In the infant stages of Missions 4 Jesus a request to provide assistance was made by Eusay, one of the African teachers. Eusay serves as an interpreter for the American Mission 4 Jesus team and has taught school for over thirty years.

Katola School is a government-supported school; however there are many needs their government is not financially able to meet. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in Africa.

Through the Grace of God, Missions 4 Jesus was able to provide care packs containing soap, sugar ,salt, and personal items along with distribute corn and fertilizer to help feed and care for the children.

Since the initial visit to Katola School, Missions 4 Jesus has increased support to the school in many ways. Gospel crusades, gospel tracts and Bibles in their native language, salvation bracelets, shoes, dental and medical care, care packs, seed corn and fertilizer, blankets, mosquito nets and a daily meal are provided.

A library was built with financial donations from children at Huntingtownes Farm School in Charlotte. The library was dedicated and now has desk and bookshelves. The first book placed in the library was the greatest book of all, a Bible, presented by Missions 4 Jesus that was donated by Unionville Baptist Church. Now many can read God’s word that may not otherwise have access to a Bible.

God continues to bless this Mission. The children with the Awana Club at Unionville Baptist bring in change each week to raise $830.00 to pay the yearly salary for one teacher who stays after school and teaches the children English so they can read the Bible and share the good news that Jesus saves. Recently a new well was drilled to provide fresh water for the children and villages.

As good as this may sound there are still many needs for these children. Food is a major issue for these children. There diet consists mainly of ensema (fine ground husk off corn kernels). Missions 4 Jesus is providing one meal each school day of vita-meal, which provides much needed supplements and improves the overall health of each child. It cost $700.00 per month to feed the children five days a week. Without this supplement their immune system is so weak it is very hard to fight off disease and infections

There are many needs that still need to be met and the Mission team ask that you pray for God’s direction on how you can help meet those needs.

MATTHEW 25:35 SAYS For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in

GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU
